Cafes coupled with butchers were once a common site in Flanders whereas to the west of Flanders (Boulogne) the combination was Cafe-Boulangerie...for me the Flemish version definitely has the edge!
This one at the foot of 'Mont des Cats', is still going strong and is one of the few survivors of its genre.
There is an interconnecting door between the two parts of the business, so no need to get your hair wet whilst waiting for your Potjevleesch.
