Superb rustic beer shop and general store just over the border between Steenvoorde and Poperinge, located at the old rail station of Abele

The less than impressive sign on the main road is easy to miss, which would be a shame as this is easily the best selection of beers within easy reach of French Flanders.

Noel and his wife are passing the reins onto their son, who will hopefully have the same affable multilingual manner as his parents.
