Dranouter, De Barbier

This French weekend Cafe is located right in border country, just a few kilometers  to the rear of Bailleul (Belle).

The Barbier is run by a couple of French Flemish guys who have fitted in well to the Dranouter scene and the fact that they took time to learn some Flemish has certainly eased their eastward migration.

They built this place up from what was a virtual ruin, but the careful choice of local materials creates a lived in comfortable interior that matches in well with the older remnants of the building.

The food is home cooked and Flemish, the beers are numerous and from both sides of the border.
