Corellon Larethian
Protector of the Elves
Corellon Larethian
Protector of the Elves
Greater God (Elves)
PORTFOLIO: Elvenkind, the Arts, Elven Magic
PLANE: Olympus
CLERIC ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Good—Elves (T)
SYMBOL: Crescent Moon
Corellon Larethian represents the highest ideals of elvenkind: "he" is skilled in all the arts and crafts, and is the patron of music, poetry, and magic. Corellon is alternately male or female, both or neither. The god is also mighty in battle, and is said to have personally banished such demons as Lolth from the sunlit Upperworld. Elven lore states that the race of elves sprang from the drops of blood Corellon shed in this epic battle.
Corellon Larethian uses a magical bow; arrows fired from it never miss their target. "He" also has a magic sword made from a star that always detects which of the god's opponents are the most dangerous. Any other being who picks up this sword will be burned.
Worshippers are elves and their kin.
There are few chapels dedicated to Olidammara. They are always located in large towns or cities. Shrines are not uncommon in urban centers and rural areas. There are supposedly two rustic hostels located in the central Flanaess area — one in the Wild Coast, another in the Kron Hills region.
Elven or half-elven clerics or single-class clerics of other races can become proficient in long or short bows.
Non-elven clerics in good standing add the spell, infravision, to their list of 2nd level spells.
Single-class elven or half-elven clerics that achieve High Priest status can cast a limited wish once per month in place of a 5th level spell.
Access to these abilities requires a cleric spend 5% more experience points per level for advancement and this must be selected during character creation.
Corellon's clerics always wear a blue quarter-moon talisman. The elves build no shrines, but always use natural geological formations or amphitheaters for places of worship.
