Teleprompter
Tips and tricks for using the Teleprompter in the Personal Studio
The Personal Studio doesn't use traditional teleprompter software. It requires formatting once in the room, which can take time. Here is a list of free teleprompter sites, you are welcome to take advantage of:

Camera Pedestal
The teleprompter and pedistal combination is a very powerful combination within the Personal Studio. The pedistal can be easily raised and lowered. It rolls well for repositioning. This guide offers a couple simple tips and tricks for moving this big piece around.
IR Sensor
Placed on the base of the teleprompter is an infra red sensor. This allows you to use the remote to move the camera, within the Teleprompter.
The remote control (pictures right) controls BOTH cameras in the room. These cameras are infra red, so pointing at the appropriate camera will pan, tilt, or zoom on the camera.
CAUTION: Be intentional when pointing the remote, it will move both cameras simestaneously, if you're not paying attention.

2. Pan and Tilt for Pedistal
Pan - Though you can fine tune the camera with the remote, sometimes you need to move the camera a lot. The pan controls allow for easy panning of the entire teleprompter (side to side)
Tilt - PLEASE DO NOT USE TILT! The teleprompter is heavy. Tilting the camera up or down, can cause it to fall in that direction. The teleprompter is meant to be level with the floor (Plus or minus a little style, but NOTHING EXTREME). If you need the camera to be higher or lower, you can use the height adjustments to raise or lower the entire teleprompter.

3. Grab Handle
The grab handle is the easy way to move the pedistal around the room. Grab and drag right or left, or unlock the height adjustment and slide up or down. The wheels move smoothly. Tracking shots are difficult in this room. We don't recommend trying to do an "on-camera" move, but this makes it easy to reposition the camera.

4. Height adjustment
This simple latch helps to lock the pedistal height adjustments in place.
The system is hydraulic and mstly sticks where ever you leave it. However sometimes it floats at the top and bottom of t's full range. Use the Height lock to help keep it in place. Please loosen same lock before raising or lowering.
Unlock before raising or lowering pedestal. Lock to hold in place.
5. Base Lock
There is a big knob at the bottom that says "Don't Adjust knob." This is the base lock. It keeps the pedistal's telescoping collar at the appropriate height for using it at the desk. If you loosen this knob, it'll crash to the base level, and likely scare you a little bit. Nothing has been damaged, but it is a pain to put back in place. Please just leave it alone.
If it drops, you can loosen it, and carefuly pull it back up to a good height. This is best done with 2 people as it's heavy and awkward.
Please don't mess with this. If you have to move it, 2 people makes it easier.
