CCA Gallery
This page currently in progress. Thank you for your patience! :)
Located on the University of Michigan’s North Campus, the Central Collaboration Area (CCA) of the Duderstadt Center is a common area where students of all disciplines meet, study, and relax. The CCA Gallery is a student-organized exhibition space within the CCA that will offer students from across the university a new opportunity to exhibit their work.
Our Space:
Our space consists of 8 column surfaces facing inwards to the lobby area and the surfaces of the surrounding hallway walls. Our surfaces are brick and we use a track and rod hanging system.
We are currently accepting applications for fall 2021 shows. A typical show will run 6-8 weeks.
Submissions:
Due to the configuration of the CCA, we are able to accept 2D work only.
Drawings, paintings, physical and digital prints are all acceptable.
Dimensions
Work should not exceed 36 in in length and 42 in in width.
Work should not exceed 25 lbs in weight.
Work should be ready to hang, as much as possible.
Please refer to the Gallery page on our GC Knowledge Base for additional information and instruction on how to prep your work.
We have limited options available for framing and/or matting. Please contact us if you need additional assistance.
We are not responsible for printing artwork.
Artwork can be dropped off at the Duderstadt Center’s Design Studio / Design Lab 1.
We are not responsible for shipping or transportation of any artwork.
Selling your artwork is welcome in our space, but we do not handle sales.
We will post sale prices if desired and provide your contact information to interested parties.
We do not charge application fees or commission percentages-- exhibiting your work is free.
An attached list with artist name, title, media, dimensions, and sale price (optional) should be included for labeling purposes. We will provide labels.
Additional text (artist statement, theme description, etc.) may be included.
Security Notice:
Please be aware that the Central Collaboration Area is a public space with no alarms or security, so we cannot be responsible for any damage to artwork (theft, defacement, etc.), and we do not provide insurance for your work. For this reason, we encourage exhibiting prints, but all 2D work is accepted.
Content:
Out of consideration for our patrons at the Duderstadt Center and the open nature of the CCA, we must be sensitive to all potential viewers. For this reason, we reserve the right to deny applications based on content that is deemed inappropriate to the goals of the Duderstadt Center.
