ZBrush is Pixologic's professional 3D modeling application, and the industry standard for digital sculpting and painting for TV, film and gaming. ZBrush is available through CAEN to select students and faculty, and on iOS at Groundworks. Pixologic also offers as a free download ZBrush Core Mini, which includes the most basic tools of the software. Zbrush can be used to adjust existing models or easily build up models from scratch. It has a moderate/steep learning curve, as the interface and controls are not highly intuitive, and it is not reflective of any existing software. However, mastering the basics can take you far, so you will want to familiarize yourself with these through the LinkedIn Learning essential training before embarking on your first project. Pixologic also offers some instructional videos on their site for various methods of application and levels of ZBrush experience.
