Embroidery Machine

Design Lab 1 has a Brother SE-2000 combination sewing and embroidery machine. 

A list of our supplies that come with the embroidery machine: 

• Sewing Arm

• Embroidery Arm

• Brotheread Machine Embroidery Thread

• Tear-away stabilizer sheets

• Pre-Wound Bobbins

• Machine Embroidery Hoops (usable hoops listed below)

  • 1.5" x 2" hoop

  • 4" x 4" hoop

  • 5" x 7" hoop (two of them)

• Power Cord

To use the embroidery machine, you will need to take the embroidery machine training module on the Design Lab Canvas page or attend an in-person workshop. Once you have completed the module, you will be allowed to schedule time to use the embroidery machine using this google form. 

The embroidery machine is not available for use after open hours.

  • If you're planning on bringing your own designs to be made on the machine, please check your model of usb drive against this list of compatible drives. In general, look for drives with a storage capacity of less than 64 GB.
