Form 4 is a blazing fast masked SLA 3D printer that combines an industry-leading materials library with a reliable, accurate print engine. Turn your ideas into reality faster than ever with easy workflows, leading reliability, and stunning part quality using the Form 4 ecosystem.
The Form 4 is best suited for objects that require high feature detail and smooth surfaces such as sculptures and product mockups. It is not ideal for parts that require extremely tight tolerances, moving mechanisms, or parts with walls thinner than 0.5 mm or greater than 5mm thick.
The Form 4 does not have a dedicated material to create support structures. Instead it generates removable supports from the same material as the model. After 3D printing the supports are simply peeled away from the part. This will leave some scarring at the contact points so if perfection is your goal you will need to spend some time sanding the part for a flawless surface.
The Form 4 is a high resolution Masked Stereolithography (MSLA) 3D printer. MSLA 3D printers a type of resin 3D printer that uses an ultraviolet (UV) LED array and a digital LCD screen to cure liquid photopolymer resin layer by layer. Typical layer resolution is between with feature detail down to 0.3 mm.
Technique – MSLA (Masked Stereolithography Apparatus)
Build Volume – 7.9 x 4.9 x 8.3 in
Pixel Size (XY Resolution): 50 microns (0.050 mm)
Light Source Wavelength: 405 nm
Layer Thickness: 25–300 microns (0.025–0.3 mm)
