City Street #2
Bristol paper, Tape, Sketch pencil, Fine Point Pen
9 x 12
Artist Statement: For this project I had a lot of ideas of what I wanted to draw. I started off wanting to draw a house in a more rural area, then a more busy street, but i settle on doing the same street I did for the last project. I also was not sure if i wanted to do the same thing as the last one, or if I wanted to change the materials, but i decided to do it as a set, all being the same materials.
The same as the last one, I used bristol paper and pen, with pencil for an outline. I like using the fine tip pen becasue I can add a lot of detail, and it really pops on a white background. I also am a fan of bristol paper because it is sturdy. One problem I faced was that the bristol paper ripped when I took the tape off.
I started by making sketches of 2 point persepective and researching it. I then went ahead and made a sketch that turned out good, but i went over it a few times to amke sure the proportions were good. I then went over with fine tip pen then took off the tape.
