Baby

There is not much of a main idea to this piece, other then that it is a picture of me as a baby that I painted over. This has always been one of my favorite baby pictures of me, and same for my mom, so I thought that it would make for a good gift once it was complete and printed. I really wanted it to be detailed as well, and embody the original piece, possible even hard to distinguish from the original at a quick glance. Also trying to use photoshop for this was a big part of my piece, and learning how to be efficient and accurate.
The way this work was made was by using an original picture and photoshop. I had to go through and use the eyedrop tool, and then paint a section of the picture that was that color. This took a long time and was a grueling process, involving a lot of re working of certain parts so that there were no white marks, and making sure the color matched right. The tools I used in total were the color dropper, paint brush, fill tool, and eraser. This made it so that I could get the color, create a outline, fill it, then re work it so it is filled in completely, and then erase spots that went to far over where the color really was.
the process was long. I would often have to zoom out to get a good look at what I had done, making sure that it did not stray to far from the original. This piece also was done in sections, starting with the pants, chair, arms, body, hands, face, then finally the teddy bear. I tried to do it in a way so that things in the foreground were done last in order to make them not look colored over. I think that the clothes turned out really good in this picture, but I think the face is not as good as it could be, with some really hard clashing colors. I The process to make the teddy bear also was pretty hard becasue I was not sure how to get the texture, But i thought it would be better to make it very basic in color so that it would not clash with the detail of the clothes.
