To be honest, for this piece I wasn't really sure where I was going with it. I knew I wanted to stick with my theme of faces. So, after I was done sketching out a face, the composition of the piece still looked very plain. Because of this, I decided to add flowers extending from her cigarette. These flowers I think, also add a nice pop of color and emphasis, which makes the artwork more interesting and visually appealing.
