Sustained Investigation #5

For this piece, I really wanted to show the more stressful part of being youthful. To depiect this, I made sure that my person (who is based off a picture of me for no particular reason) has droopy eyes, saggy skin, and downward facing lips in the form of a frown.

To create this piece, I used markers and pen. I first went in with pen before going over my design with with pieces of color. For example, I added red under her eyes to show tiredness. I wanted to make the color have meaning in where I placed it to better relate to the theme.

This processes that I used in this investigation were different than my other investigations because I layers different mediums (pen and marker), rather than just using acrylics like I normally do. There was no one way of going about this piece, I just added things that I thought related to the theme in a jumbled and chaotic way.
