The Monster of the title is the "Metalogen Man", a robot created by Professor Franklin Arnold (Ralph Morgan) and three of his associates at the Bainbridge Research Foundation. After displaying his invention, the three associates are killed by Professor Ernst’s (George Macready) trained ape, Thor (played by Ray “Crash” Corrigan). The robot is stolen by Professor Ernst and his men. Ken Morgan (Robert Lowery), a representative of the company for whom the robot was made, then leads the attempts to recover the stolen robot. Ernst strives to gain control of the robot and the supply of metalogen needed for its production.
