Charlotte "Lottie" Scott
Charlotte Scott was born on April 9, 1872 in Willow Hill, Jasper County, Illinois to John Keith Scott and Margaret Pasley. She married Oscar Albert Burwell on November 29, 1895 in Jasper County, Illinois.
The had two children:
1. Verne (or LaVern) Burwell, b. about 1896
2. Ira Burton Burwell, b. Feb 26, 1898 in Jasper County, Illinois.
The couple lived near Hidalgo, Illinois, close to "Grandmother Burwell-Boggs" and later lived on "Grandpa Scott's farm at Willow Hill, Illinois." Charlotte and Oscar divorced abt 1900. Oscar went to Oklahoma. Charlotte worked to support herself. Verna lived with Grandmother Burwell-Boggs and Ira lived with his Grandpa and Grandma Scott.
About 1907 Charlotte married Tom Gaddis. About 1916 they adopted one child:

The couple moved to Drumright, Oklahoma to work in the oilfields. Charlotte died on March 6, 1927 and is buried at Duncan Municipal Cemetery, Duncan, Stephens County, Oklahoma.

OIL MAN LOSES WIFE
Mrs. T. H. Gaddis, who lived 17 miles east of Marlow, died at her home on the night of March 6 leaving a husband and three children. She had
been ill for the last four years. Internment was in Duncan Cemetery. The funeral services were held in the chapel of the Beeson-Grantham
Funeral Home here at 2 p.m. Wednesday after arrival of relatives from the east. Gaddis is an employee of the Magnolia Petroleum Comp
