Died: Roland Burton Burwell

Leesburg, Fla. - Roland Burton Burwell, 76, died April 24, 2001 at Mount Dora, Fla. He was employed as a meteorologist with TWA and later was head of the reservation department in Chicago.

Services were held April 27 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Eustis, Fla. Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors includ: a son; a daughter; two brothers including Paul in Hutchinson; and three sisters, June Coleman in Haven, Violet McCandless in St. John, and Rowena Albright in Pretty Prairie.

MR. BURWELL, 157 Pineridge Drive, Leesburg, died Tuesday, April 24. He was a reservations supervisor for Trans World Airlines. Born in Elk City, Okla., he moved to Central Florida in 1996. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Eustis. He was a member of the Eustis Elks Lodge. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors: son, Robert B. Burwell, West Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Garland Phillips, Miami; brothers, Laverne Burwell, Princeton, Ill., Paul Burwell, Hutchinson, Kan.; sisters, June Coleman, Violet McCandless, both of Kansas; twin sister, Rowena Albright, Pretty Prairie, Kan.; three grandchildren.
