"Curtis was born to William Thomas and Ella Frieda Leck on October 3, 1934 in Monte Vista, Colorado. Curt was an accomplished athlete at West High School where he lettered in both Football and Basketball. Curt decided to serve his country during the Korean War by joining the Navy in 1951. Curt served as a Gunner’s mate on board the USS Hamner. Curtis was the owner/operator of Leck Enterprises. A small machine shop which he started in 1973. He managed that business until 2009, shortly after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. He succumbed to Alzheimer’s on Thanksgiving Day in 2014. He is survived by his wife of 57 year, Karen, his sons and their wives William and Denise Leck, Charles and Sherri Leck, daughter Deborah Davis, 4 Grandchildren Lynn Restvedt, Andrew Leck and his wife, Heather, Jessica Hunt and her husband Jay, Kathryn Cassai and her husband Josh, and 3 Great Granddaughters, Mercedes Restvedt, Katrina Peacock, and Maddison Cassai. He is also survived by his sisters Freda Pilger and Betty Schroth, as well as many nieces and nephews."
