Lula May Adams
Lula May Adams, daughter of Clark Adams and Elinor McCormick, was born March 20, 1868 in Coopers Corner, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Both her mother and father had been married previously, so they lived their early years with step-siblings.

When they were about five years old, their mother died, and Lula and her twin sister Lois went to live with their older half-brother Jarvis. When the twins were about nine, they came to Kansas to live with their uncle John Quincy Adams.
