Joseph S. Croley
Joseph S. "Grover" Croley was born in April 22,1849 in Missouri to Jeremiah Croley and Agnes Long Skidmore. He married Sarah Catherine Packer on January 16, 1870 in Johnson, Missouri. They had an unknown number of children:

Joseph died on August 7, 1907 in Gas, Allen County, Kansas. He was laid to rest at Deepwood Cemetery, Nevada, Missouri.
"Grover Crowley died in Gas City this morning as results of injuries which he sustained by falling from the roof of the Prime Western Smelter about three months ago. At the time he was not thought to be seriously hurt. He recovered sufficiently to be able to work again but several days ago he was taken ill, from what is believed to be the ruslt of the fall, almost three months ago. He suffered intensely just before dying from what appeared to be internal injuries.
No funeral arrangements have been made as yet but the funeral will probably be held at his home on North McRae street in Gas City. Crowley was a middle aged man with a family

Nevada Mail: The remains of J.S. Crowley, a former well known employee at the Nevada smelters, arrived here this afternoon from Gas City, and were buried at Deepwood. A large number of the deceased's friends and acquaintances were at the station to meet the remains. The deceased was a member of the I.O.O.F. order, and the pall bearers were members of that order.
