Miriam "Mary" Schrader

Miriam Mary or Marie Schrader was born May 18, 1884 in Russia to Henry Schroder and Mary.

According to the 1895 Kansas Census, Mary lived with her family in Russell Twp., Russell County, Kansas. They are all listed as being from Russia.

According to the 1900 census when she was 16 years of age, she resided with the Hoover family in Russell, Kansas as a servant. The census says she had immigrated from Russia in 1890, which would have made her 6 years old when she made the journey across the Atlantic.

In 1904, she married George Eichman, son of Peter Eichman and Mary Catherine Uhrich. They had the following children:

2. Frances Eichman, b. ~1911

3. Lydia Eichman, b. ~1906

4. Emmanuel "Mac" Eichman, b. Dec 20, 1907 in Russell, KS

5. Benjamin R. Eichman, b. ~1912

She died December 25, 1921 at age 37 in WaKeeney, Trego County, Kansas. She is buried at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Russell, KS.
