William "Bill" Thomas Leck, Sr.
William "Bill" Thomas Leck was born October 25, 1895 in Palco, Rooks County, Kansas to
Richard, Waneta, William "Bill" Thomas, Helen, James
Blanche, Andrew, Edra, Leora May and Glen Leck
At the age of 5, Bill appears in the 1900 Census for Rooks County, Kansas, living with his father in Logan, North Hampton and Walton Townships. In 1910, he appears under the name "Willie" in the Federal Census for Rooks County, Kansas, living in a household with his mother, father, sisters, brothers, and grandparents John and Sarah Bomgardner.
In 1917, Bill's WWI draft registration card indicates he was in Hays, KS as a student.
On May 13, 1918 Bill enlisted in the US Navy.
The 1920 Federal Census shows Bill as living in Rooks County, Kansas with his sisters and brothers.
Bill married Lillian Edith Fulkerson. They had two children:
1. William "Bill" Thomas Leck, Jr.
2. Jack Leck
He married Ella Barbara Freda Schroeder on November 22, 1929 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
