James Henry, Sr.

James Henry, Sr. was born in Scotland in 1720. He married Hannah McKness (d. 1821) on 25 Apr 1742 in Providence, RI.

It is considered here that this James Henry was the one who married April 25, 1742, in Providence, R. I., Hannah McKness, and who was made a freeman of Providence in May, 1756. (Colonial Rec. R. I., 5-487.)

They had nine children:

James, Sr., served in the Revolutionary War as a private in Connecticut. He died 10 Oct 1809 in Sterling, CT.
