Mary Ann Galloway

Mary Ann Galloway was born August 20, 1835 in Tennessee to William Galloway and Mildred "Millie" Emily Crudgington . She married Wesley Burton Long on 23 Mar 1856 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. They had twelve children:

1. Sarah Long, born 28 Nov 1858, died 29 Mar 1859

2. Nancy Long, born 18 Jan 1857, married Kephart, died 4 Jul 1904

3. Noah Long

4. Andrew Jackson Long, born 18 Jul 1862, died 6 Jul 1918

5. John Long, born 8 Aug 1864, died 14 Dec 1914

6. William Long, born 28 Aug 1866, died 8 Feb 1915

7. Isaac Long, born 18 Jul 1868

8. Millie Long, born 5 Apr 1871, died 18 Aug 1922

9. Luther Long, born 29 Feb 1876, died 30 Jun 1929

10. Wiley Long, born 29 Feb 1876, died 13 Aug 1942

11. Frank Long, born 22 Mar 1878

12. Elizabeth Long, born 26 Feb 1880, died Mar 1955

Mary Ann died on January 28, 1902 in Stafford County, Kansas. She is buried in Neeland Cemetery, Albano Twp., Stafford County, Kansas.

Inscription: "Wife of W.B. Long; She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy."

"Mrs. W. B. Long, mother of the Long boys, of Richland and Albano townships, died Wednesday. As yet the NEWS has been unable to learn the particulars, more than that she died from heart trouble."
