    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:  I'm sorry.  I can't go out with you.  I mean you seem very sweet...

    BRANDON: (crushed and pathetic) I am so sorry, this was a bad idea. I shouldn't have...

    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:  (full of empathy, desperate to try and find a way to spare his feelings) No! no, its not you personally... I usually don't date guys who are, umm...

    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:  ...I mean I'm just not into guys who are...uhhh...

Panel 2: 

    BRANDON: Guys who are?

    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:   ...guys... Yeah. 

    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:  (very uncomfortable) I am, uh...gay...

Panel 3:  

   BRANDON: Oh! I see... I...huh... 

   BRANDON: Strangely enough, I think that makes me feel a little bit better...

    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:  (still very uncomfortable) Yeah.. I, um, thought it might...

Panel 4:  

A long pause ensues as they try to find a way to extract themselves from this awkward situation.

Panel 5:

    BRANDON: (sending out a life line) Ok! So I have another question.

    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:  (nervous) Ummm ok?

Panel 6:

    BRANDON: (jovial, and with good humor) Who do I have to get shot down by to get a re-fill in this place?

    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:  (raises her hand, smiling, now that they are back on familiar ground) I think that would be me.

    BRANDON: Decaff please.

    COFFEE SHOP GIRL:  No problem.
