It seems to me that Weld County is always the one to make local politics go national. And usually not in a good way. The latest story to get some national attention is that Northern Colorado leaders are publicly discussing secession from the state. I really don't think that this will go anywhere, but there is something wickedly appealing about putting all the narrow-minded Colorado rednecks into one corner and let them do what they want. Darwinism just might take it from there.
