TRANSCRIPT:

Panel 1:

 Phil and Tom flank Brandon who is still sulking on the couch, staring off into space.  Phil is wearing the gas mask.

    PHIL: So… Say something...

    TOM: Hey Brandon... uhhh, c'mon, cheer up! It's not so bad...

Panel 2:  

 Phil rips off the gas mask.

    PHIL: JESUS! NOT SO BAD?  His life's a disaster film!

    TOM: Hey! You called me because you couldn't handle it...

Panel 3:  

    PHIL: He lost his wife, his job, his house… but Hey! "cheer up!" 'cause Tom says "it's not so bad."

    TOM: I don't see you doing anything to help.

Panel 4:  

     PHIL: What the hell!?  I let him live here when Karen threw him out! You were like (mocking Tom) "I have kids..."    

    PHIL: You're as pathetic as him

    BRANDON: Sitting right here...

    TOM: Would it kill you to show a little tact? He doesn't need your negativity, the divorce messed him up enough. 

Panel 5:  

    PHIL: Oh! Way to use the D-word! Next why don't we call his mother a whore and kick his dog...

    PHIL: ...Wait! She took the dog too! 

    TOM: If I were him I would kill myself before I had to stay here with you!

    BRANDON: Still here...

Panel 6:

    PHIL: If I were him, I would have killed myself a long time ago!

    BRANDON: What's the point? I would just rot here and neither one of you would notice.
