Phil has a very direct response to situations. That response usually involves fire.

And I know that I am not the only one to daydream about the gas can + match solution. We are all just a bunch of closeted pyros. Really.

I have been reading all kinds of news from the San Diego Comic Con and wishing more and more that we were there to be a part of it. I know that not only was it not practical to attend this year, but LUC is still in it’s infancy as it were. We need to and have a few story arcs under our belt and build a larger readership, but next year I think that Comic Con is a must. I mean, 80% of life is showing up, right?

TRANSCRIPT:

Panel 1: INTERIOR APARTMENT LIVING ROOM

Tom and Phil are on the couch. Tom is playing a video game, but his mind is wandering to that place where he thinks his deep thoughts.

TOM: You know this whole thing with Brandon has really shown me how important communication can be.

PHIL: (Smelling the couch) Yeah. Do you smell that?

Panel 2:

TOM: They never listened to each other you know.

PHIL: (Moving over and smelling another part of the couch) It's over here too.

Panel 3:

TOM: Being an active listener is the most important thing really, in any relationship.

PHIL: (Standing up and smelling the back of the couch) God Damn! It's everywhere.

Panel 4:

TOM: If you don't take the time to listen... I mean really listen, then the whole thing will just go up in flames.

PHIL: Yeah, I think your right (Phil moves out of frame)

Panel 5:

Phil returns with a gas can and matches.

TOM: You need to be really aware, to notice the details.

Panel 6:

Phil begins to pour the gas all over the couch- Tom still has not noticed.

TOM: Yes sir... You have to pay attention to the little things.

PHIL: The stench of failure, you can never get that kind of stink out...
