Tom:  So Phil Just gave you his credit card to buy a couch?

Brandon: Yup!

Panel 2:

  Brandon: He said he was going to be held up for awhile so I should go ahead and pick out whatever I wanted.

Panel 3:

Brandon: So I am thinking of something in a black suede.

Tom:  You know, Maria and I have bought a fair amount of furniture. What you really want to look for in a couch is stain resistance and solid construction.

Panel 4:

Tom:  Durability is very important, especially with kids.

Brandon: But I don’t have kids, I just have Phil.

Panel 5:

Tom:  You…just…have…Phil…

Panel 6:

Brandon: So I am thinking of something with a good warranty.

Tom:  Now you’re thinking like a parent.
