You will have 5 days of class to work on these projects.

Presentations will be held May 30th. If you will not be present in class may 30th you must arrange an alternate presentation time with Mr. Kienbaum no later than may 29 at 4:00pm.

Your topic must focus on a person, time and Place/event. All three of these must be connected.

Julius Caesar, 1st century BC, the fall of the republic.

Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand, 1914, Austria and the start of world War one.

Pope Urban II, 1096-1099 AD, Siege of Jerusalem

No two students may have the same topic. Sigh up for you topic on the dry erase board. First come first serve. Be Specific, World War Two is to big and to general.

Your semester project may consist of any combination of presentation mediums below but must include at least one from red, and 1 from blue.

all project elements must be worked together for presentation. The rewards by each medium represent the most you may receive, You must earn every point.

Plagiarism will be reported and a 0 will be given on the entire project.

Presentation mediums.

Red (20-50pts each)

500 word summary of the life, time or event covered with proper citation. (50pts)

Fully covered poster board with 30+ facts and 30+ Pictures associated with each fact. (30pts)

Blue (10-20pts each)

a 60 second video of you discussing or explaining your topic. (20pts)

A 20 to 30 second Audio clip or video clip from the time period. (10pts Limit 1)

a self created high quality artistic project representing the time period, event, or person. (15pts )

Appropriate period Costume on presentation day. (15pts)

Yellow (1-10pts each)

1 powerpoint slide with 20+ words and a Picture (5pts)

an object to be passed around appropriate to the time or person or event (5pts Limit 2)

Presenting the project early on Thursday. (5pts) (Note, if you do not receive at least an 80 you will be required to present again on Friday. 2 projects only, first come first served, E-mail me if you want this opportunity.)

imbedding appropriate educational sound or video into a PowerPoint slide. (5pts) (wing dings do not count)
