Biographys

Matthew Kienbaum

After serving in the military and graduating from Angelo State University with a double major, Mr. Kienbaum went to work in public education. His first job began in February 2001 teaching theatre and the full gauntlet of high school history. Starting work at Glen Rose in 2008, Mr. Kienbaum taught theatre and history. Currently he teaches and directs theatre full time at the High school.


Toni Kienbaum

Graduating as the salutatorian from high school was just the start of her adventures in education. While pursuing a degree in Communications at Angelo State University, Toni met Matthew Kienbaum, who cast her in her first stage play. From that point forward, theatre has become a passion of hers. After graduating college, she became a Speech, English, and Theatre teacher. She is thrilled to direct alongside her husband, Mr. K, in her new adventure at Glen Rose ISD.


Preston Andrews

Preston Andrews is a freshman attending Glen Rose High School. He has been in 3 shows prior to Frozen Jr. and hopes to be in many more. Preston's favorite thing about theater is interacting with the cast, both members he has performed with before and those he has not met. He is very excited to perform the show, and he feels the cast's hard work will be shown to everyone there. Preston would like to thank his friends and cast members for motivating him and making rehearsals so fun and lively. He would also like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Kienbaum for making everything happen.


Alexandria Arrington

Being the youngest of two older brothers, Alex has always had a passion for performing. Family nights were spent together singing and dancing. Alex has taken her passion for performing to choir, musical theatre, and the volleyball court. She took part in Lion King Jr. and now loves being the part of Bulda in Frozen Jr. She looks forward to furthering her career on the stage.


Jolene Bailey

Jolene is currently a 6th grader. She had a part in The Plaza’s production of Frozen Jr. this past summer and is excited to be in Glen Rose ISD’s production now.


Seth Beneze

Seth is excited to have a role in DISNEY'S FROZEN JR. Some of his past roles include Old King Cole in THE MAGIC WELL, Uncle Andrew in THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW, and Timon in DISNEY'S THE LION KING JR. He has also performed in the ensemble in several productions such as SEUSSICAL JR, ALICE IN WONDERLAND JR, and THE JUNGLE BOOK KIDS. Seth plays the Mellophone in the Glen Rose marching band. He also enjoys playing football. In his spare time he enjoys playing airsoft, reading, and playing chess. Seth is a follower of Jesus Christ and attends First Baptist Church of Glen Rose.


Evie Bruton

Evie started attending Glen Rose ISD in her 6th-grade year. Now, in her 8th-grade year, she is in Varsity Choir and has participated in volleyball, basketball, track, and cheer. Now she's ready to perform for her district in Frozen Jr.


Cooper Carter

Cooper is a 4th grader at Glen Rose Intermediate and is excited to be back on the big stage! Cooper played Young Simba in the Glen Rose 2019 Lion King Jr. Play and has had a love for theater ever since!


Quinn Carter

Quinn is a 3rd grader at Glen Rose Intermediate. This is her first ever performance on the big stage. Quinn is a competitive cheerleader and loves to perform!


Braydon Ciecko

Braydon first participated in theatre when he had a role in Lion King Jr. While that was an acting role, he prefers to be behind the scenes as tech crew. He is now an 8th grader and looking forward to more tech opportunities.


Ashlynne Conner

Ashlynne Conner is in 7th grade at GRJH. She runs cross country, plays volleyball, and is active in the local 4H club and is currently serving as Glen Rose 4H Shooting Sports President. She enjoys going to church and helping in the Sunday School department. She has taken part in many church musicals and is excited to be a part of Frozen Jr. and can't wait for whatever comes next.


Trey Cousland

Trey Cousland is a freshman who loved theater in junior high and decided to spend 3 months with the directors: Mr.Kienbaum and Mrs.Kienbaum, along with Mrs.G. He is excited to spend time with both the junior high and high school kids in the play Frozen Jr.™ In the play of The Magician's Nephew™ he directed the lights. He also plays the flute in marching band and has been in the theater program for 3 years. The main reason that he wanted to join this year’s play is because he likes the Frozen movie so much that he wanted to be in it.


Abagail Cox

Abagail is currently an 8th grader and has been in theatre for three years, but this is her first performance, and she’s excited.


Lillian Culpepper

Lillian lived in Mansfield, Texas about 6 years and met Macaela Koudalka in kindergarten and has been best friends with her ever since. Lillian moved to Meridian, Texas about 5 years ago, and lives on a farm called The Farmstead on Main. She wants to move to NYC when she grows up and is a city girl. Lillian loves dancing, especially ballet. She has a little sister named Madelyn Culpepper, and she loves her very much. Lillian has a hamster named Luna, and has had 3 other hamsters. Their names were Scuffles, Humphrey, and Snuggles. They were all very kind, loving and cute.


Calvin Cunningham

Calvin Cunningham has been a student at Glen Rose and has been in various arts programs for as long as he can remember. He’s very excited to be a part of Frozen Jr. as his last mainstage performance in high school. Calvin would like to thank you for coming to support the Glen Rose High School Theatre Department!


Deagan Davis

After moving from Fort Worth, Deagan started theater classes at Junior High. Alongside his new theater family, he is excited to perform his first-ever play. He hopes to grow his theater career and be in more plays. He is happy to be a part of a new theater group and to be a Tiger!


Roynan Davis

Ronayn Davis has been in love with theater since she was 4. She did her first big show with Kids Who Care where she wrote a monologue. She has also played in many other school plays. Her hobbies include but are not limited to baking, reading, writing books, and walking with friends. Her dream is to go on Broadway or be a theater teacher. She was so excited to be in this production. It has been a really fun experience for her, and she hopes to do more shows with Glen Rose in the future. She loves working with the directors and is proud to be a Tiger.


Gilberto Escobedo

Gilberto Escobedo has loved theater since he watched the Greatest Showman. His first show was the Kid’s Life, in which he played the lead as the grandfather, for summer camp. He then played a zebra in the ensemble for the Lion King Jr. His favorite hobbies are songwriting, playwriting, drawing, painting, crafting, and cooking. He dreams of going to the Juilliard School in New York and becoming a Broadway and film actor. He then hopes to become a playwright and theater director. He was thrilled to find he was cast as Pabbie, as he has been wanting to play a mystic, witchlike character. He would like to thank his whole family, biological and theater, for helping him get to where he is now. But, most importantly, he’d like to thank God.


Hartley Evans


Ka’Lynn Ferguson

After moving to Texas from Oklahoma when she was 3, Ka’lynn had to get used to many family members still living in Oklahoma while she was making Texas her new home. She has lived here in Glen Rose for 10 years. Glen Rose is her hometown that she loves because it’s full of friends and neighbors.


Natalie Gilbreath

Natalie Gilbreath was born in Cleburne, Texas. From there she moved around to Wyoming, South Dakota, Clarendon, Texas, Oklahoma, and Big Springs, Texas. She now lives in Walnut Springs. She attended 3 different elementary schools before starting her 6th grade year in Glen Rose. She began singing in the 6th grade choir and is now a part of the Junior High Varsity Choir. Natalie started theatre in her 7th grade year and took musical theatre classes before that. Now in her 8th grade year, Frozen Jr. is her first play ,and she hopes to participate in many more in the future. She is very excited to play Middle Anna.


Emily Griffiths

Emily Griffiths has always loved theatre, but this is her first play as a middle schooler. Emily loves to draw, sing and most of all, ACT! She recently moved to Glen Rose and is very proud to be a Tiger. Just yesterday she was a sixth grader at GRJH, and now she's a queen! Good for her! She would like to thank her family, her friends, Cissy, and of course the wonderful directors and stage manager. Thank you so much for this opportunity, and enjoy Frozen Junior!


Conner Jaquess

After moving to Glen Rose from Carlsbad, New Mexico in the seventh grade, Conner Jaquess has become a proud Tiger. He has been a dedicated theatre student and actor since Lion King Jr. Along with theatre, Conner is super passionate about being in marching band as a saxophonist. Conner is very excited to be acting in his first titled role as Oaken, and is going to have a lot of fun performing Oaken’s song: Hygge!


Jaydin Jones

Jaydin has been participating in theatre at Glen Rose since 6th grade. She is currently an 8th grader and glad to have a speaking part in this musical.


Tamina Kienbaum

Tamina is new to Glen Rose JH. She is enjoying being in her mother’s theatre arts class and on stage in a musical directed by her parents. Tamina’s excited to be part of her first play as an ensemble member. Her favorite part of Frozen Jr. is singing “Colder by the Minute.”

Amelia King

Amelia King started taking theater in 6th grade, and is still taking it in 8th grade. Her first show was as a crew member for Lion King Jr. and was a play she helped write. She is now again a crew member for Frozen Jr.


Jillian Kirkley

Jillian is excited to perform on the GRHS stage for her last fall production. She has participated in many GRISD mainstage productions, such as Nala in THE LION KING JR. and One Act Play competitions, as well as in several community theatre shows and Brian Clowdus’s professional production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC as Louisa. She has been awarded for her performances, receiving the Best Performer award at OAP District 2020 as Kate in DANCING AT LUGHNASA and Bi-District 2021 as Young Jess in WHITE ROOM OF MY REMEMBERING. Jillian would like to thank Mrs. Hammond for inspiring her love for theatre and her friends and family for their support.


Alyssa Lester

Alyssa is a 6th-grade student at Glen Rose Junior High. She has always enjoyed musical theater. As a member of Kids Discipleship Choir at First Baptist Church, Glen Rose, she has had the opportunity to perform in many musicals over the last several years. She is a member of the Lighthouse Junior High Choir and enjoys playing piano and trumpet. As a Christian, Alyssa has found that through music she can worship and give praise while encouraging others. "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms" 1 Peter 4:10.


Lee Martin

Lee is a senior at Glen Rose High school. They have been in the theatre department since sophomore year, and has been the stage manager since junior year. This is their first musical as a stage manager, and they could not be more excited. They would like to thank Jill and Calv for being their best friends and the rest of the cast for making this show amazing.

Hannah McCarthy

This is Hannah’s Junior year in high school, and she is very happy to be playing the role of Anna. She hasn’t done very many plays in high school, in fact only doing a spring fling last year and Lion King Jr. her freshman year, but aspires to do more shows in the future. She has always loved the arts since she was little including art, choir, color guard, prose and poetry, and of course theater. Out of everything she has done, this will be a memory she will always cherish.


Trinity McClure

Trinity McClure fell in love with the stage while dancing as a kid, and when she was in her first stage production in sixth grade she fell in love with it again. In Alice and Wonderland Jr. Trinity's role was a flower. Although her contribution was small this first taste of theater gave her a new passion. Later, Trinity would come to play Shenzi in Lion King Jr. as well as several important parts in her school one act, UIL competitions. This year she landed the role of Olaf; a dream role of hers, and could not be more excited to perform.


Liam Miller

Liam Miller is an honors student and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. He has been going to Glen Rose his whole school career and has been involved in three Glen Rose Theater Company productions prior to Frozen Jr. His favorite roles that he has had were Zazu (Lion King Jr.) and the lion, Aslan (The Magician's Nephew). He is proud to play Kristoff, as it has allowed him to learn more about acting and playing more diverse characters. Aside from theater, Liam is an active participant at his church and hopes to be a doctor when he grows up.

Rylee Mills

Rylee Mills was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and has lived in Glen Rose her whole life and feels very lucky to live in this school district. Rylee lives on a ranch and loves to ride her horses and show her cattle. This was her first year with the Kienbaums, and she has enjoyed it very much. She has always wanted to act in front of a crowd to make them laugh or to just entertain her friends. Rylee would like to graduate high school, go to Texas Tech and study to become a veterinarian for her love of animals. She plans to have a great time with the Kienbaums and successfully and joyfully pass all of their classes.


Sarah Murphy

Sarah Murphy is a freshman and is very thrilled to be a part of Frozen Jr. She has been in one other play besides this but is hoping to be in many more. She is an active color guard member of the Glen Rose Tiger Pride Band and is also in poetry UIL. She and her family have lived here since 2008 and love it. She is so happy to be a student of Glen Rose High School and to be a part of its afterschool activities. She and many others hope you enjoy Frozen Jr. as they’ve worked very hard on it.


Tanze Parsons

Tanze is currently a freshman at Glen Rose HS. This is her second time as a member of the tech crew. She is excited to have a larger role where she can support the cast and other crew members.


Raya Point

Raya Point has been working in the theatre program as a techie since her 6th-grade year. Now as a senior, she is excited to see this production succeed and cannot wait for her last year of plays in high school. Raya is excited to pass her knowledge on to future techies.


Rihanna Point

Rihanna is currently a freshman at GRHS. She first helped with tech last year during The Magician’s Nephew. She is excited to return to the tech booth this year for Frozen Jr.


Carli Rosson

As a Freshman in high school, Carli Rosson is involved in 4-H, plays the trumpet in the Glen Rose Tiger Pride Band, and is a member of the Glen Rose First United Methodist Church. She also participates in Glen Rose Athletics and plans to play softball in the spring. She has participated in two plays: The Magician's Nephew, where she played Aunt Letty, and The Magic Well, where she played The Dragon. She is excited to add Frozen Jr. to her theatrical accomplishments.


Kellen Rosson

Joining the theater department as a 6th grader, Kellen is excited to make his debut in Frozen Jr. Kellen is a member of First United Methodist Church, Glen Rose, where he has performed in the annual Christmas play for several years. Kellen enjoys participating in 4H, playing percussion in the band, golfing, camping, and spending time with his family. He would like to thank his mom and nana for transporting him to and from all of the practices and his family for their continued support.


Emma Sampson

Emma Sampson is a long time theater enthusiast and performer. She has been in eleven musicals over the span of eight years.


Salem Scott

After being raised by the Hidden Folk with his brother Kristoff, Sven has developed a fairly happy-go-lucky disposition. He loves and supports Kristoff at every opportunity, even though it may seem, from time to time, that the reindeer has more sense than the human. He has been to Arendelle a few times but has never seen the inside of the castle. Sven is very excited to see what kind of fun new people they will meet while Kristoff tries to sell some of his ice. Maybe he'll get a carrot!

Reagan Stegemoller

After moving to Glen Rose from Fredonia, Kansas, after living there for 5 years, Reagan had to adjust to a new school. She started 4th grade in 2018 at GRIS. Her first couple of years in Texas were hard. Now in 7th grade she has amazing friends, lots of fun here, and feels like she knows what to do instead of being so clueless. During the years she has lived in Glen Rose, she has developed a love for participating in theatre and band.


Piper Stover

Piper Stover is a 6th grader who is currently in band and theater, in addition to Destination Imagination. In the band she plays the trombone. She is currently trying out for one act, student council, and the UIL event maps, graphs and charts. She likes to wood carve, sculpt, and draw. She was born in San Antonio, Texas. She moved to Glen Rose in 2015 when she was 5. She is extremely happy to be in Frozen Jr., and she appreciates that you want to watch it. She has 2 sisters ages 13 and 8 and a 3-year-old brother.


Aaron Tonche

Two years ago Aaron Tonche moved to Glen Rose From Cleburne, Texas. During his time at Glen Rose, he has been in two choir contests, in Jr VASE (an art contest), and another art contest where he placed third in photography. He is so happy to get more privileges and happy to learn everyday. Aaron is currently in seventh grade. He is so excited to be an ensemble member in Frozen Jr. and as an alternate for tech in the GRJH one-act play.


Sophia Veno

Sophia Veno has been involved in the Glen Rose theatre program for over a year. Her favorite role she has played is Polly from the Magician's Nephew in the 2020 One-Act Play. She is hoping to have a career in theatre when she grows up. She is grateful to her family for being supportive. She also wants to thank her directors for helping make this show happen and her cast members for being good friends. She is excited to grow more in theatre as she gets older and is hoping to stick with theatre all throughout junior high, high school, and college.


Shaelyn Ward

In the past, Shaelyn has performed in two other plays and is now going to perform in Frozen Jr. for her third play. What inspired her to act was watching Lion King Jr., a play performed by Glen Rose High School and Junior High. During her 8th grade year she first started acting, and acted in a play called The Magician's Nephew. Later she acted in her second play called The Magic Well. She very much enjoys acting so she decided to continue it in High School. Shaelyn is ecstatic to be a performer in the play Frozen Jr.


Maizey Whitefield

Maizey is in the 6th grade this year. This is her first play that is a part of her school. Maizey is very nervous because this is her first musical where she has lines. After this play ends Maizey will audition for other plays for the school and her enjoyment. She loves theater and hopes that she can make a living off of the theater. Maizey is happy to be here and in the Frozen Jr. play and hopes that she can act more in the future.


Emma Mae Williams

New to Glen Rose, Emma is excited for her first show at Glen Rose High School. Emma is a freshman and has previously been involved in shows before coming to Glen Rose. She is looking forward to Frozen Jr. and has high hopes for it. Rehearsals and preparations towards Frozen Jr. were lots of fun, and the cast and crew have been absolutely amazing.
