Spanish Grammar Aids
Regardless of the curriculum you use to teach Spanish, it is useful to have worksheets for practicing conjugations and learning vocabulary. You can use these blank charts to create your own Spanish Grammar Notebook. Make separate sections for nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and put the applicable worksheets in each section. To conserve paper, you can print both front and back with the same form. For groups, the teacher can use a white board or a copy of the form to show the students how to fill in their forms. The teacher's copy may go in the teacher's notebook or be used as a classroom poster.
As vocabulary is learned it is useful to record the new words with other words of the same part of speech and gender or conjugation. Vocabulary sheets are provided for nouns, verbs and adjectives. For the "Spanish Nouns" there is a blank space at the top of the page to identify the gender and a chart to show the endings for singular and plural. Next there is space to record vocabulary words which belong to this gender. Words can be added as they are learned. Similarly, the "Spanish Verbs" form has a chart to show how the verb is conjugated and space to record verbs that are conjugated in the same way. Adjectives have their page as well.
As the students learn irregular verbs, use the "Spanish Verbs: Make Your Own Chart." This form may also be used to learn new tenses of verbs. The "Spanish Verb Conjugation Drill" can be used for practice or tests.
