For worksheets that you would like to use over and over again, you can create "erasable worksheets." Slip the worksheet into a plastic sheet protector. Give your student a dry-erase marker to use on the worksheet. You can wipe it clean after each use! Erasable worksheets are useful for math drill sheets, Latin conjugations and declensions, blank maps, and handwriting practice paper.
In a small group, the teacher can use the erasable worksheet to demonstrate whatever is being taught or copied. For example, handwriting practice paper is useful for writing spelling words, which the students will copy. In effect, it becomes a small white board with lines for writing!
