Aerobic Exercise Chart

This chart shows the interval timing or rate (time/distance) related to the activity based student's age group.

The teacher should set the distance or duration (start - end time) for the exercise.

* Rates based on the Presidential Physical Fitness Award (highest award level-top age of range). See Presidential Physical Fitness Award for specific age-rate requirement. Training for running should start with 2 min running and 1 min walking. Limit 6-7 ages to 1/4 mile and 8-10 to 1/2 mile at start of training.
