There are many ways to teach godly character. When we live beside our children we are teaching them all the time. When we study the Bible together or memorize scripture, we are teaching lessons in godly character. This study is meant only as a springboard for a much broader study of what it means to live in a godly way.
The collection of Bible verses can be used for older or younger children. For older children the verses may be printed as a simple list that they can study and place in their notebooks. The list has space to initial each verse as it is memorized.
The Bible verses may also be printed as a booklet. Put one verse on each page so that there is space for the student to illustrate the Bible verse. In our family we focused on one page at a time. We memorized the verse and discussed how people in the Bible were good or bad examples. We also talked about how we would apply this character trait in our own lives. The children illustrated their pages based on our discussions.
