This project serves many useful purposes, including motivating children to try to read a book they have made, helping them memorize their name, address, phone number and birth date, and giving them a keepsake from their early school years. The pages may be arranged in any order. The booklet consists of a title page and eleven more pages. If your browser allows you the option to "link" pages for printing, you may print all the pages at once by following this procedure: Click on "File" then "Print." In the "Print" dialog box, select the "print all linked pages." (Note: For some browsers, simply clicking on the printer icon will result in only printing this page, so use the "File" then "Print" procedure.)
If you would like to conserve on paper, pause the printer after printing the first six pages. Then re-load the paper feed with the printed pages facing in the opposite direction from the print side, and print the remaining six pages. If you print on only one side, your student can illustrate the backs of the pages or tape photographs in the extra space. Of course, you can print single pages for a simple project whenever you need one!
