Serves 6-8
Dressing:
1/4 cup salad oil
2 T. sugar
2 T vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. almond extract (you can substitute vanilla)
Salad
6 cups torn romaine (about 1 head)
3 medium oranges, peeled, sliced crosswise, and halved
1 c. thinly sliced celery
2 T. sliced green onion
1/3 cup toasted slivered almonds*
*To toast almonds, bake in 350' oven for about 10 minutes.
