Haiku walking (ginko) with a digital camera for luck is the way to go. . .

My old Kodak EasyShare DX4530 died. After fiddling about with it (testing various parameters), decided replacement unit was needed. A week without a camera passed. During this time it was discovered that Amazon was a no-go; however; eBay was. To cut a long story short, I bidded for and won TWO DX4530 (one came with case only, the other was an immaculate boxed full kit), a DX6340 (full boxed kit), and a Z812IS (which spoke to me and happens to be the most expensive digital camera one has ever owned).

Never again would I be without a camera.

Before more about the cameras; it must be said that haiku walking does not need them. We are the camera. An observation is recorded and translated into a verbal negative (ku) which, when read (or spoken), prints out the experience again and again in our mind's eye. A moment (or two) of passing time is recorded and potentially playable back forever. Now, having said that, the art of photography is a delightful sport. So, although the week-of-no-camera passed without digital withdrawal symptoms, it was nice to get back to normal. DX4530 KIT
