earworm,
on the path— its music
frozen
old man
lagged in woollies—
smell of snow
Wolf Moon
getting fat as a pig
slice by slice
01
02 haibun
crack!
puddle paddling
then
glass snowdrops
even the robot insects
need coffee
03
tongue,
in the iciness—
not aspic
04
eye opener,
another battery's life—
iced
05
ice wind
the mouse's skull
no spiders
06
ah, column of smoke
in headlights and mist,
bends
grey rainbow it seemed
this February's eve
06
heaven's show
in ice via the sky
God's faces
07
follow your beak
a little bird seems to say
then more
the hills are gone
this Februa dawn
09
halogen lamp,
its gone on the blink—
February
09
peeps,
in cracks of solid water—
the sky
10
no young
on the swings
just snow
11
winter crows,
what do they think about
the pair of 'em?
11
a car's aerial,
as snowflakes fall—
recorded
11
A true story, as always. The dog lost its leg in a farming accident. It's known locally as Jet (not, Lucky). Sometimes it really does forget and falls over. Then we laugh and...so does it.
12
out the sky
fresh snow has landed—
twinkling symbols
13
pester power
shoots in from the snow
black cat white
13
dear Mrs Mole,
I've caught you at it but
how did you know?
14
Having manually enumerated all the stars in the sky and then double - checking, he determined to record snowflake density in hourly sequences and mathematically compute these little mandalas using an ancient sheep counting rhyme system traditionally employed by shepherds in Northern England.
yan tan tethera
methera pimp sethera..."
radio static
14
melted snow—
the shadows and cars
do their job
17
suddenly
all the snow is gone
as if...
18
slow...sunny...spring...day
feeding birds just carry on
as I idle by
19
dark on dark—
Wolf Moon banshee flocks
rattle doors
19
in vision,
or some kind of a dream—
glass snowdrops
19
and yet...
this spring chorus
its fœtus
Presidents Day!
the local mall is full
of nobody
21
old chimney,
a new plant operates it now—
green, its frozen smoke
22
snatches of gossip—
of the wind in snowdrops
and, upstairs, crows
22
Moon of Winds
where have you gone
tonight?
23
wan women,
thou Moon of Winds—
thine fleet clouds
22
in each their eye,
all last year's creatures—
spring reflects
24
fly magazine,
spider-web stick—
2012, sorted.
24
some sticky mix
in the pancake page—
circa 1949
23
who would tear down
the dusty spider's net, its oeuvre
in spring?
25
Moon of Winds at the crossroads and a dog barks
across the valley as random lights fan darkness
then disappear.
here she comes...
racing a torchlight—
the jogger
hiya!
hi
through spectacles
a crowd of spring-tipsy sparrows
ignore the rain
26
two crows
only for the tree
splitting
26
today's headlines—
useful for wrapping
snowdrop bulbs
27
sci-fi,
its paper reality—
sun over ice
27
here it comes...
copy/paste time
in the garden
28-29
crunching underfoot,
nuts the squirrels forgot—
leap day month
cupcakes
of an icy bucket
the memory
from the everywhere
between a crows blink—
another twig
in and out
of the valley's shadow
twig hunters!
every year
leap day month or not
this puddle
Moon of Winds,
your Lenten fast
is working?
