all around our hats

slowly the seasons

yesterday we were poor

but today we're living

in a twigloo!

for laughs

on a dogs nose

Have resolved to be nice to my neighbour's Jack Russell, Fern - even though she barks her fuzzy head off at me every time I pass through her turf without paying tax (a leg of mutton or something). Well sure, mutton is nice, but give 'er one leg and next she'll be wanting a herd of pot roasted sheep (with fries to go). No, we cannot comply with terrorism. Me and Fern are heading for a show down though - I can feel it in my water. The village is too small for the both of us!

ORIGIN

I was driving into a local town (here in rainy England) one very misty morning and got gridlocked. Exactly where the car stopped was a crane in exactly the right place to appear to be raising the sun up over the horizon - a haiku gift (senryu really).

NOTE:

This is from quite a while back. I posted it because it references an option. Needs

done with better production values and maybe that will happen sometime. It is a

thought though - a child's haiga book which tells a story?

What fun to have a little writing assistant to fetch and carry our

haiku pencil sharpener or another potato crisp!
