NOTE The current moon is still Milk Moon (my choice from last last month). This reaches its fullness on Monday, June 4. Then slims out to zero over the next couple of weeks. However, the titular moon for June as a calendar month per se is (one choice of several) is Flower Moon (apt enough), or Moon of Flowers (which reads nicer). What to do? Well, I'm going for the June moon choice (to avoid confusion). According to one source, this month is 'the season of the unicorn'. Cool. As always, I will drop the 'The' prefix until the actual fullness of this particular nominal moon. Useful device (invented by me) which allows use our chosen title to designate *whole lunation period* for haiku porpoises.

Ink haiku

I regularly doodle on my iPad using the simple "Zen Brush"

drawing application. I've named these "ink haikus." Some

people seem to enjoy them, so thought I'd set up this page

Mr Swallow shows, look!

here! not there!!!

NOTE

The male porch swallow actually tried to pretend that the pair's nest was up in the eaves of the house. Twice. It fooled me

into thinking I had two nests on site. However, through binoculars and telephoto equipment, followed by a perilous hanging

out of a bedroom window, it was clearly established to have been a *swallow ruse*. Never seen this behaviour before. My

porch swallows are really on the ball this year. And this is only the first clutch of eggs. They might go for THREE clutches !

The way things used to be (at least in The Land of Snap, aka: Snapland). One of the

comments says that 1950s period was "the peak of human sanity". I guess it was all

catharsised after WW2. A sense of relief and social unity in the grace of peace. Also,

being poor kept the national mind focused. At least until the 1960s happened.

Rupert Bear still does it for me And haiku (done properly). . .

Haiga based on experience with a frog jumping into my kitchen through an ajar external

door -- out the rain storm. It was quite merry dance gently catching this robust little fellow

and popping him back out in the wilds to continue his adventure.

image artwork using Photoscape.

BACKSTORY A woman in America has a dog which is freaked out by lightning. I am sending an antique cassette of mine called Thunderstorm (part of which soundtracks this musical haiga called Storm Frog). The idea is that she will play this to the dog in a safe and reassuring environment and, hopefully, over time a new Pavlovian reflex will overcome her companion's problem. Fingers crossed . . .3

moon rap

It's the full of the moon tonight and so, to honour last month's overlapping

lunation period I thought to settle on The Milk Moon. Then, revert back to

the month of June's selected generic moon title (Flower Moon). This is all

complete lunacy, of course.

Crossroader Sasa (Robert's twin) sourced this interesting interview that scientist Nikola Tesla

gave for magazine "Immortality" in his laboratory in Colorado Springs (1899)

DATA RATING: Excellent ( ) not bad (✓) could do better ( ) don’t call us, we’ll call you ( )

On a first reading this stood out. . . .

"JOURNALIST: What is the third condition of adjustment, Mr. Tesla?

TESLA: Guidance for all the vital and spiritual energies in labor. Therefore purification of

the many effects and needs that man has."

In other words: When we do something the information we need to perfect our task is in the

activity, providing we are sincere (actually, the more advanced form of sincerity which is

makato is required, ideally) until completion. This may take seconds, or years, or lifetimes,

even.

The porch swallows have ske·dad·dled. This was the most businesslike

production of a batch new swallows we have EVER witnessed. it makes

one dizzy just to recall the last few weeks. At first thought they'd

been STOLEN. But then, upon checking the date,it was calculated that

the whole lot of them (two parents & five young) had simply hatched,

fledged and then skedaddled.
