These poor creatures whatever they once were are now mindless servants to the bio-weapon known as De Rol Le, these wormlike entities are deployed by the giant leech in either at star shaped or three-pronged formation, in star formation they will spin on their base and attempt to grapple anything within melee range, a successful grapple will cause them to explode, a failed grapple will cause the spike to slam into its opponent before attempting to explode again, and melee damage will trigger them to explode, but chakra based attacks do not trigger an explosion however if damaged the spike that was harmed will leave their static position and chase the mage down attempting to latch on and explode.
In Three pronged formation the spikes will charge after and surround a single target if not stopped they will make multiple slam attacks while gaining flanking bonuses, these spikes of De Rol Le will each explode one round after each, any melee attack to one spike will trigger all three to explode with no reflex save allowed to the victim they surrounded, magic does not cause the explosion however all three will leave their static position and chase down the offending magic user.

Explode, Latch. Lightning Weakness
Explode (Ex): As a standard action, a Minion of De Rol Le can blow up, dealing 2d6 points of acid damage per CR of all creatures within the explosion range of the minion to everything around it within a radius equal to its melee reach plus five feet. A Constitution-based Reflex save (base DC 13) halves the damage dealt.
Use of this ability kills the minion instantly and completely destroys its body (not that its body really matters, since it can‘t be raised anyway).
Minions also automatically explode when they are slain by any means, when Minions explode De Rol Le gains 1d4 HP.
Latch (Ex): When it successfully makes an Grapple check at the end of a charge, a minion can explode (as the ability above) as a swift action and deny the target of the charge a save against the explosion damage.
