The Ramsey Big Blue Marching Band is having a phenomenal season. This year, our show is ‘Toxic’. The music is a combination of “Toxic” by Brittney Spears, “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons, and the Rick and Morty theme song. The Band practices really hard to make our show as great as it can be, practicing every Thursday night, Saturday, and band period during school. The show is very entertaining with lots of props and movement. The audience always has something to listen to and look at. Beyond the musical dedication of the band members, this amazing show is also possible because of the great job we do each year with our hoagie sales and the support of community of Ramsey. This fall, we sold about 3,100 hoagies which we made and delivered on a Saturday morning. The money raised from this sale helps us to be able to have all the cool props we use, and helps pay for the great trips we take. This weekend we also had our championships show in West Essex and earned a great score of 91.65. We placed second and we are super excited to be traveling to Hershey Park the weekend of November 2nd for ACC’s which will be our final competition of the season. Big Blue Band members will also be traveling to Rome, Italy for the new year to play in the Rome New Year's Parade. It will be a great experience to learn while also having the opportunity to do what band members do best, and play for a whole new audience. Go Big Blue!
