As a captain for the Ramsey lacrosse team I have learned many things. I have learned numerous leadership skills on and off the field. Being a captain means you have to lead by example not only on the field but off the field. Leading a team is way harder than I thought, there is a lot of responsibility that comes with being a captain. As the season has gone on, I feel as if my leadership abilities have gotten increasingly better.
During this winter the Ramsey lacrosse team traveled all the way down to Florida to play lacrosse. This was our first ever trip to Florida, but everything went as planned. The experience of going down to Florida and playing lacrosse with your whole high school team is something everyone will remember. We played three games there and had four practices including our annual blue and white scrimmage against each other. Going down to Florida really helped our team get a jump start on the season along with bringing the whole team closer to each other than we already were.
My experience this year in lacrosse will definitely help me in the future. I worked on my communication skills on the field that will help me in my future. I also learned how to lead a group of people. This will help me in the future when people look for someone to lead them I will already have the experience and the skills to lead them.
