Overview: Course List

The Course List is the master list that houses all pertinent information on the Purdue Global Course Inventory. Information from the Course List is used to auto-populate corresponding fields in other areas of CIMS. The Course List contains the following information on each course:

• Catalog Information (Course Number, Title, Description, Prerequisites, and Credit Hours)

• Course Information (School, Number of Units, Related Courses, Degree Level, Course Status, Skill Levels for Writing and Math)

• Course Type (Categories used for reporting and publishing parameters)

• Project Information (Revision History, auto-populated from the Master Project Schedule)

• Course Resources (Third Party Tools used in course, Software/Hardware Requirements)

• Exam/Assessment Information

• Course Policies (syllabus information that is specific to that course)

• Course Team (ADoC, Curriculum Specialist, Course Lead, Department Chair)

• The Details form will also display the most current gradebook (brought in from the Gradebook List) and most current textbooks (brought in from the Textbook List).

The Course List has restricted permissions for editing, creation, and records that cannot be deleted.
