When the term, launch term, drop, or revision type of an existing project needs to be changed, a user must submit a Schedule Change form. A user cannot change the Term, Launch Term, Drop, or Revision Type from the Edit Project form.
Note: Only ADoCs and Administrators can submit Schedule Change requests.
Navigate to the MPS.
Click Create Schedule Change.
Complete the fields in the Project Change Request form.
Once the fields have been completed, select Submit Schedule Change.
The schedule change submission will appear on the Change Schedule List with a Status of Pending, and you will be copied on the email that is sent to schedule approvers.

Overload Requests are auto-generated by the system when:
A project is created for a Term/Drop that does not have capacity for the project.
A workload value on a project is changed, and the change would cause the total Term/Drop workload to exceed the capacity limit set on the schedule.
When completing a new project creation form, when you select the Term and Drop and have indicated a workload, an alert message will indicate whether or not the project presents a capacity overload.
If a new project is added that exceeds workload capacity, an overload request email will be generated, and the project will remain in an Over-Capacity status until approved.

Only users with permissions to approve schedule changes and overloads are able to approve or deny these requests.
Once a schedule change or overload request is approved, the changes submitted in the form will be saved to the project schedule. An email to the submitter is sent.
If a schedule change or overload request is denied, the changes will not save to the database and an email will be sent to the submitter.
If the schedule change or overload request is denied, an existing project will remain on schedule as is without the change requested. In the case of newly created projects, the project status will be changed to Closed - Cancelled.
Approvers will be able to navigate directly to the Schedule Change form via the notification email received. They can also access the request on the Schedule Change List accessible on the MPS page.
Filter for pending items by the Status column if needed.
Assess the effects of the requested change/overload and verify with managers of affected teams that resources are available to meet the change in the schedule. Approve or Deny accordingly.
Both Approve and Deny actions will generate an email to the submitter advising them of the action and copy managers as necessary.
