The timeline is used to provide a Workload Analysis Report that captures the capacity information and provides a visual account for development terms that are over or under workload capacity.
Access to the Workload Analysis Report is limited to certain roles, which can access, create, and export the report.
Select Reports from CIMS top navigation.
Select "Workload Analysis Report."
Select Type of report desired report. (Calendar Year, Academic Year, Budget Report)
Calendar Year report- pulls capacity information on terms/drops for a specific calendar year and separates/totals by quarters based on term start (Q1 = Jan-Mar; Q2=Apr-Jun; Q3=Jul-Sep; Q4=Oct-Dec)
Select Year for desired report.
Select "Run Report."
A grid will display that contains the Term and Drop capacity totals for
Each Term in that year
Each Quarter in that year
The Overall Year
Academic Year report - pulls capacity information on terms/drops for a specific academic year (i.e 2019-2020) and separates/totals by quarters based on term start (Q1=Jul-Sep; Q2=Oct-Dec; Q3=Jan-Mar; Q4=Apr-Jun)
Select Academic Year for desired report.
Select "Run Report."
A grid will display that contains the Term and Drop capacity totals for
Each Term in that academic year
Each Quarter in that academic year
The Overall Academic Year
Budget report - pulls capacity information on terms/drops for specific Budget Quarters (i.e. 2019-2020 Q4) based on the kick-off dates for development of drop 1 of the term (Q1 terms =Drop 1 kick-off Jul-Sep, Q2 terms =Drop 1 kick-off Oct-Dec, Q3 terms =Drop 1 kick-off Jan-Mar, Q4 terms =Drop 1 kick-off Apr-Jun)
Select Budget Quarters for desired report.
Select "Run Report."
A grid will display that contains the Term and Drop capacity totals for
Each Budget Quarter you have selected
The Overall Total for all Budget Quarters selected
Export any of the reports to Excel (if desired).
Note: Capacity numbers change continuously as updates are made to the MPS. Be aware that the exported report will not have the header with the run date that shows in the display grid. You should always save the file as "Report Name and date of report" or label the Excel tab with the date the report was run.
