Projects on the Editorial List are created automatically from the Master Project Schedule. The Project Information, Project Milestones, and Project Team information is auto-populated and displayed in blue and cannot be edited. When this information is updated on the schedule, the information will automatically carry over to the Editorial List.
The remaining fields within the Editorial List are specific to Editorial workflow and can be edited by the Editorial team, with the exception of the Editorial Turn Around Time and the Development Late Days fields.
The Production List has associated workflows that are triggered by status changes.
Editorial Not Required
When a project on the editorial table is marked as "Editorial_Not_Required," it updates the production tracker "Production Status" field to "No Ed - Awaiting drop from CM."
(No editorial is scheduled for most SP-Ops projects and all Compressed Drop 3 revisions.)
The Editing team rotates assignment responsibilities. When a project is assigned the designated Editor for that week will complete the following fields: Editorial Inbox, Date Editor Assigned, and Editor Assigned from the drop-down menu. When the Editor completes the project, they will add the dated to the editorial Outbox. See screenshot below.
The Editing team also rotates assignment responsibilities for assigning Early Media. In this activity, the assigner fills out the early media checkbox, Early Media Editor Assigned, and Early Media Inbox, The Assignee completes the the Early Media Outbox field.
