The CIMS Publication feature allows publication of syllabi and Course Guides based on standard templates and information drawn from various locations in CIMS and the Outcome Repository. Syllabi and Course Guides are published to Word documents that can be downloaded in read-only (default) or writable versions.

The schedule for CIMS publications includes the following major milestones:
Quarterly Publication Prep Sheets will be built out for the upcoming quarter per Template Prep Sheet.
5 weeks before Term Start - Textbook change information from CIMS CRD List is imported by Procurement to CIMS Textbook List.
Monday (11 days before migration) - A Publication Readiness Report is run and completed with additional information from CVUE to complete a Pre-Publication Audit and forwarded to ADoCs to ensure CIMS updates are made as necessary prior to publication.
Monday before Migration - The term syllabi are published in CIMS and provided to production to place into MCOs prior to migration. The School Course Guides and Course Assessment Course Guides are published and posted to distribution folder for Advising to have access to updated textbook information for the upcoming term and any changes that may have occurred to Course Assessment information.
Monday before Term Start - Ops Action Requests are reviewed to ensure no republish was requested that would require a Course Guides republish as well.
Dates are maintained on a shared calendar.
CIMS publications can be downloaded in one of two formats:
Read-only format is the default and is always used, with rare exception.
Writable format can be used when necessary for publications that require hand editing, such as syllabi for Peregrine courses. (Only certain Admin personnel will be able to see the writable option.)
To download a published syllabus or Course Guide:
Select the format to download (read-only or writable).
There are two methods by which you can download:
Download Selected will download any and all syllabi that have been checked in the left hand column on the visible page.
Download All Searched will download syllabi from all pages of display list that remain after column filters have been set.
Based on your selection(s), the syllabi will download to your computer as a Word document if a single item is selected or as a zip file if more than one item is selected.
