American Indian Mascot Report
A belated reminder that the final report for school districts required to change their school mascots to comply with M.S. 121A.041, unless they have received an exemption, needed to be submitted by February 1, 2026. The report must be provided to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees having jurisdiction over kindergarten through grade 12 education policy and to the Legislative Reference Library, and must detail the district’s progress toward complying with the prohibition on the use of American Indian mascots.
