*Important Note Re: the Release of MASA’s Superintendent Salary Survey*
This week MASA staff member, Taylor Ethen, sent the results of the salary survey to superintendents who sent us their contract information. Since then, she has received a few requests to enable access to the spreadsheets that would allow recipients to copy and manipulate the data.
Among the reasons we are restricting access to the data is the promise we made to those who submitted their information. We said we would only share it with those who participated. We take pride in keeping our word. We also have had a request to share the information with an outside organization which we denied. We are being cautious as we don’t want to do anything that might result in limited settlements for our members.
If you have a specific need to manipulate the data, please contact me.
Information for School Districts Who are Required to Change Their Mascots
During the recent legislative session, a new requirement was passed mandating school districts with Indigenous mascots to report their progress on changing their mascot’s name to the legislature by February 14, 2025. MASA Lobbyist Valerie Dosland and I will provide you with the information you need to report your progress prior to the start of the legislative session. Stay tuned as we will likely provide you with a fillable template.
Summertime Pics!
My husband Nick went fishing on Lake Superior near Bayfield this week. The fish weren't biting very well-only two fish in two days. Here is one of them. Now it’s your turn to send in your pics!
